Rainbow Snippet (week 3)

This is one of the best things I have taken part in for a very long time. "Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQ+ authors, bloggers, and readers to gather once a week and share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!)."

I love the challenge of choosing which Snippet to share and this week was really hard. In the end, I decided to go with a newly written section of Guitars and Cages 2 Ranch Days (working title)

“You little shit, you owe me!”

Asher slammed his hands against the glass, glaring right back at his father.

“Do you remember the last thing you said to me?” Asher snarled.

“The fuck that got to do with anything?”

“Everything. It has everything to do with why I hope you die in here, you prick!” Asher snarled, wishing he could reach through the glass.

  1. Intense! I wonder what his father said to him. (It doesn't sound like they've ever had a great relationship.)
