Musical Monday: Who do you think you are?

On this musical Monday, I'd like to take you back to Rocktoberfest 2022 and my Rockstar Romance Bleeding Dawn.

Identical in appearance, twins Winter and Tripp are as different as night and day when it comes to everything but the music they’ve spent the bulk of their lifetimes composing. Now they’ve attained the fame they always hoped for, and it’s as empty and meaningless as the remains of route 66, and about as broken too. Would help if Winter could see it. Tripp’s sure he’ll lose his shit completely the next time some random groupie leaps on the hood of his car and begs to take a selfie, but to Winter, every night is a party, he lives for the crazy hookups, lives for the crazy, period.

Another place they differ.

Tripp would kill for one season to slow down. Just three months where he and Zakk could melt into obscurity and be whomever they wanted, together. Only Zakk’s band, Tattered Angel, is on fire too and it’s starting to seem like the music he’s always loved is hell-bent on keeping him from exploring love of a different kind. Last year’s Rocktoberfest was an amazing triumph, this year, it’s starting to feel like the road to the desert is burning him alive.

Would be so easy to slip off across the sand, melt into a dune on the back of some strange, psychedelic serpent, never to be heard from again. If only there was a way to ensure Zakk took that last ride with him.

Bleeding Dawn is part of the multi-author The Road to Rocktoberfest 2022 series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not read them all and see who hits the stage next? Hot rockstars and the men who love them, what more could you ask for? Kick back, load up your kindle, and enjoy the men of Rocktoberfest!

Warning: Illness, drug/alcohol use, accident/vehicle crash, and the general behavior rockers get up to.

His first thought was that he needed to track Winter down and fix it, his second, was to wonder who the fuck Dez thought he was, to be lecturing him on shit after what Tripp had read while he’d been stuck at the Bismarck Airport.

“Maybe you should work your own shit out, before you stick your nose in someone else’s,” Tripp snapped as he jerked his phone out of his pocket and flipped through it, finding the article he was after and turning it so Dez could see.

Tripp knew what the headline said, the speculation about the woman draped all over Riley in the photos that accompanied it, including one where she was sitting in his lap, his arms around her as she looked to be kissing his neck.

Tripp waited for Dez to lose his shit with a sick sense of anticipation he wasn’t exactly proud of. He expected embarrassment, sputtered attempts at an explanation, not….snickering?

What the actual fuck?

When those snickers gave way to laughter and Dez using the wall to hold himself up, Tripp was certain he’d just fallen headlong into the Twilight Zone.

“What the fuck is so god damned funny this early in the day?” Riley grumbled as he stuck his head out in the hallway, took one look at Tripp and rolled his eyes. “Oh, you.”

Tapping Dez on the shoulder only got him to turn his laughter and the phone Riley’s way.

“What are you trying to do, laugh him off the doorstep?” Riley asked, taking the phone when Dez nearly dropped it and his pants.

“He thinks….you two…are seein’…each….other…” Dez choked out in between wheezes.

Riley’s giggles when he saw the photos were as unexpected as Dez’s reaction, only now he was hollering over his shoulder to Zakk, who sounded sleepy, drunk and grumpy as he came shambling to the doorway, looking every bit as rumpled as Dez and Riley did.

“Why ya gotta be so fuckin’ loud, bru?”

And there was the pretty little bun on the shitburger sandwich his day had turned into. Drunken fuck’ Zakk, who crashed into Riley and the door before spotting Tripp standing there and giving him a little wave.

“Can I talk to you?” Tripp pleaded, desperately hoping there was some shred of comprehension left in Zakk’s booze-soaked brain, or he’d have come all this way for nothing.

“You gotta see this!” Riley declared at the same time, thrusting the phone in front of Zakk’s face and blocking his view of the desperate, pleading look Tripp was shooting him. “He thinks I’m cheating on Dez…. with your sister!”

There was no reason for Riley to say that last word so loud, no reason for the three of them to go absolutely batshit crazy with the laughter either, but there they were, slapping their knees, grabbing on to one another, Dez’s pants around his ankles now as they howled like manic coyotes at his expense.

Fury and humiliation surged through him as he snatched the phone from Zakk’s hand. “You can all go to hell!”

Whirling around, he stalked to the elevator, kicking himself the whole way for ruining things with Zakk and wishing he could kick them for not letting him fix it. Punching the button several times in the unrealistic hope that it could make the doors open faster, Tripp never expected any of them to stop him, let alone the person doing it to be Dez, who caught him by the arm and looked ready to throw down if Tripp decided to take a swing at him.

“You shouldn’t leave without telling him what you came here to say,” Dez said. “Don’t you think he deserves an apology at least?”

Sunday Snippet: Little and Lethal!

Mission completed, information extracted and passed along to those who could dismantle the brothel the way Cosmo had taken apart the tiger he’d caught. A murder of crows, an army of fire ants, and an untold number of rats would feast on the pieces for a while. He’d scattered them over dozens of miles in the thickest, most wooded areas he could access. Now he was just exhausted and in desperate need of a diversion until he could tuck the images away in a place where they wouldn’t haunt him.

It was getting harder to do on his own, which was exactly why he’d dressed in a brown fuzzy crop top with matching hood and brown boy shorts with a small tail resembling that of a bear cup on the rear. His hood even had rounded off bear ears on the top. His cat had gotten a great deal of amusement out of choosing that and wearing it where Gabai could see it, back when he was still getting giant hugs from the massive bear. It remained one of his favorite outfits even now that Gabai was mated and bearhugs were no longer on the menu at Little Paws Haven. Besides, there was an amazingly huge Rhino who not only knew how to hug the stuffing out of him, but was in need of some of the intel Cosmo had gathered. Bash would take his time getting it too, and let him use his body as his personal stuffy until he’d purged himself of the burdens and information he carried.

He was well aware of the fact that his bounces had lost their vigor and his smile was forced. His curls were messy and haphazardly brushed, one particularly errant one falling into his eyes as he skimmed the room for Bash, finally spotting him near a padded bench, about to tug Kit over his lap.

It took some careful maneuvering to weave around those who stood between him and his target, but he managed it for the most part, only crashing into one person, who reached to steady him, only to touch air when he’d deftly avoided the contact. He caught a glimpse of their face, one of the new guys, and a flash of frustration he gave little concern to as he slotted his body between Bash and Kit and batted his eyes up at the big Rhino.

“You promised to play with me,” he declared, pouting and giving Rhino his saddest look.

“So I did,” Bash declared, reading the moment correctly and giving Kit a little shrug. “Raincheck, Kit.”

“Yeah, sure, it’s all good,” Kit declared, melting into the crowd as Bash closed his arms around Cosmo and picked him up, carrying him against his shoulder towards the Littles playroom.

You got something for me? Bash thought to him.

Lots.

Good deal.

Cosmo pressed his face against Bash’s shoulder and burrowed there all the way to the playroom, clinging as Bash got comfortable.

You’ve lost weight. You need to eat more. Jeb is bringing snacks over. I’m gonna feed ‘em to you while you fill me in. Bash informed him.

That was really good, because his tummy rumbled, reminding him that he’d forgotten to eat again.

There’s a pair of rhinos, young, captured and being held for auction. They’re trapped in their shifted forms. The tiger claimed not to know how that was done. He gave up the location, though. Cosmo conveyed as Bash held a tender chicken nugget to his lips. Humming contently, he accepted it and licked Bash’s fingers in thanks.

If they are the pair I’ve been hunting for, I’ll have some good news to convey to the family that’s been searching for them. Bash said.

I hope they are.

Me too.

More chicken was offered, and sips of creamy milk that left Cosmo purring and sleepy by the time his tummy was full. Bash seemed to understand that all he wanted was to nap wrapped in warm arms and continued to hold him long after he’d given up the location and the rest of the intel about the rhino pair he’d been able to gather. Sleep claimed him then, and he gave into it gratefully, falling limp against the firm form of his rhino friend.

$0.99 cent sale: A Little Christmas: Ajay's Secret: Walker Remington hates the holiday season. He didn't always feel that way, but tragedy has a way of changing things and making a man bitter. Carols, lights, the sight of people with their packages and bags all tip him over into Bah Humbug mode, that is, until Ajay comes along. With his piercings and wildly colored hair, he is everything Walker is not. Young, fun-loving, and on the hunt for a Daddy, something Walker has been before, and longs to be again, if only he'll stop sabotaging every chance he's offered.

“Can I get you started with something to drink this evening?” The waitress asked, a small device about the size of a cellphone in her hand which had come to replace the traditional pad and pen.

“Three hot ciders, please,” Walker said, smiling warmly at her.

“I’ll be right back with them,” she declared before turning away.

“Thank you,” Walker called after her.

Okay, so that was another point in Walker’s favor. You could tell a lot about someone by the way they treated the servers when they were dining out, and Walker, despite whatever his day had been like, was clearly refusing to allow that to affect how he interacted with others.

Shanny nudged his shoulder, so Ajay glanced over to see him pointing at something on the menu.

“Wanna split it?”

“Yeah, that’ll work,” Ajay said.

“Please, don’t feel like you have to share a meal,” Walker told them. “There’s no need for that.”

Ajay glanced down at the table again, hesitant to say anything. Fortunately, Shanny saved him from having to say anything.

“The sandwiches here are way too thick for either of us to be able to finish, especially with soup,” Shanny explained. “Besides, we both love the turkey club, so it works out beautifully.”

Walker appraised him for a moment before nodding. “As long as you’re sure.”

“We are. Have you looked at us? We’re kinda on the small side. Neither one of us packs away very much.” Shanny said.

While Walker didn’t reply, he certainly took his time appraising them. “Seems to me like that would make both of you pretty fast, a good trait to have when playing paintball, I’m guessing.”

“Especially when we play against a Sasquatch like Tiny,” Shanny grumbled. “Once he manages to corner someone, that’s pretty much the end of any hope of making it out the victor. Our only hope is to run fast and find a small enough place to hide in until we can get the drop on him.”

“Oh man, I wish I had photos of this last game,” Ajay said, excitement surging through him. “We dug ourselves a snow trench and waited until he was almost on top of us to blast him. Sent him home covered in pink and neon blue.”

“He’s still got a bit in his hair,” Shanny remarked, laughing.

“You’ll have to take pictures next time, I’d love to see what you get up to,” Walker said, smiling directly at Ajay, who was suddenly struck with a wonderful idea.

“Or you could join us on Sunday and see for yourself. Afterward, you can join us for dinner if you’d like, Angel always makes something awesome.”

“I’m sure I’ll enjoy whatever is set on the table as long as I’m enjoying the meal with you,” Walker said as he reached across the table and placed his hand over Ajay’s. “Just promise me one thing?”

“Sure,” Ajay said, gazing into his eyes and finding himself drawn to the open, hopeful expression there.

“You’ll teach this old man to use a paintball gun before you send me out to get splattered,” Walker said, chuckling as he reached and tucked a clump of Ajay’s hair behind his ear.

“I’ll do you one better…old man…and let you team up with me,” Ajay said, shooting him a teasing wink. “I promise I’ll keep you from getting too messy.”

$2.99 sale: Be My Little Valentine: Shanny's Surprise: Shanny is messy and a bit of a hot mess all the way around, but he's got an amazing group of friends who have been more family to him than the one he was born into ever was, though he longs for someone special who won't mind letting him be the kid he never got to be.

“What flavor jelly donut did you have?” Riggs asked.

“I wanted blueberry, but they were out so I got a lemon-strawberry, and it tasted just like strawberry lemonade,” Shanny said. “It was amazing with the Christmas cookie flavored cocoa I got.”

“That’s one I’ve never heard of before,” Riggs admitted.

“They’ve got a ton of unique flavors, and every cup is made from a cocoa bomb. It’s awesome. We don’t get to go there often but today we wanted to celebrate me not having to wear that sling anymore.”

“It was certainly news that warranted a special treat. I hope you ate all your supper after that.”

Shanny gave him a sheepish look and shrugged a little, ducking his head so he wasn’t maintaining eye contact. “Most of it.”

Riggs placed a finger beneath his chin and tilted his head up. “Most, huh? How much is most?”

“Everything but the peas. Blech! I don’t see why I had to have them on my plate in the first place, they just roll around getting into everything.”

“Maybe try mixing them in next time,” Riggs suggested. “That way you’re not just looking at the peas, you’re looking at the other stuff too.”

With a scrunched-up nose, Shanny swiveled enough to face him and stick his tongue out. The face he made was so amusing Riggs decided that it didn’t warrant a correction about being rude. In this case, it was clear that tongue wasn’t directed at him but thoughts about the meal, or more specifically, the peas that had been a part of it.

“Then all the food will taste like peas and be triple yucky,” Shanny said, his tone taking on the slightest hint of a whine. “I don’t even like it when they put them in fried rice, but no one lets me pick them out, so I switched to ordering noodles. No one puts peas in those.”

“Don’t be so sure,” Riggs warned. “One of these times you might find yourself at a place that adds sugar snap peas and then what do you plan to do?”

“Have a much easier time picking them out since they’re bigger,” Shanny shot back, having given thought to the prospect at some point to have such a ready answer.

“I see. It sounds like you have it all worked out.”

“The only thing they’re good for is launching with a Lego catapult, but Ajay and I aren’t allowed to do that anymore either.”

“Probably because you two chaos gremlins opened a can of them, poured them in a strainer to let the packing liquid drain out, then spread them out on a baking sheet and stuck them in the oven on the lowest setting to dry them out,” Tiny said as he stepped into the room.

Unlike the other night when he’d been in his leather pup gear, tonight he’d dressed in a soft, floppy-eared costume that still had some elements of Huskey to it. Oversized paws covered his hands and a long, bushy tail trailed out behind him, lightly swishing along the ground. The hood was positively adorable, leaving his face visible save for his nose, which was covered by a wraparound doggy one securely tied behind his head to keep it in place.

“Absolutely adorable,” Riggs said once he’d taken in the full effect. “Someone’s looking soft and cuddly tonight.”

“I wanted pets,” Tiny declared.

“Then pets you shall get,” Riggs assured him as he lifted his arm out of the way so Tiny could settle in beside them.

$2.99 sale: A Daddy for Summer: Angel Who better than a professional project planner to help organize a community wide fundraising event?

It seems that Dion picked the perfect time to leave the corporate sector and return to his old neighborhood. His family's thriving restaurant is about to go mobile with the unveiling of a newly purchased food truck and the suggestion of new menu items provides the perfect theme for a series of tasting events. Coming home also means plenty of opportunities to spend time with his sister and her eclectic array of friends, including the exuberant Angel, who has captivated Dion since the first time they met through video chat.

“Exactly which version of toying with you would I be paying for?” Angel hissed, a long, shuddering moan escaping him. “The one about Love and Hip-Hop, or the one where I have you about to fuck me through the bed?”

 Mischievous little minx!

“Is that where you wanna be, face down with my cock inside of you?” Dion growled as all of Angel’s squirming just about pushed him to the breaking point.

The moment he tried to manhandle Angel where he wanted him, the lithe little menace hooked a heel behind his thigh and kept him pinned in place while continuing to roll his hips, grinding and damn near twerking while driving Dion batshit fuckin’ crazy.

“That would eventually be the end goal,” Angel admitted as he arched his back and used that heel he had braced against Dion’s thigh as leverage to roll his hips in a long, languid motion that left Dion groaning with desire. “But it will be so much more fun if we take our time getting there.”

“This doesn’t feel like taking our time,” Dion growled.

“It will,” Angel said, as he slid away and patted Dion’s arm. “’Cause I forgot to take a piss and now I gotta go!”

Dion turned him loose, laughing, then batting at the sheet Angel accidentally flipped over his head in his haste to scramble from the bed, ‘cause that had been him less than forty-five minutes ago. The slamming of the bathroom door prompted the slurred response of fuck quieter, from down the hall where Bella must not have been completely out of it yet because most times, she could sleep through anything. She’d been that way since she was a kid. Angel’s little otter lay tangled up now, almost on the edge of the bed, so Dion retrieved it for him and propped it up on Angel’s pillow, the little silver guitar pick tag catching his eyes, along with the inscription: The universe needs more joy. Out of curiosity, Dion flipped the tag over and sure enough there was a second inscription on the other side. Otters are joy + you’re our otter.

Awe.

Dion let the tag fall from between his fingers at the sound of the bathroom door opening, and pure joy, because that’s the only way he was going to be able to think of Angel from now on, came sliding back into bed with him to gather his stuffed otter in his arms and flop on his side, head on his pillow, but not before dropping what looked like a bar tab on Dion’s hip.

“What’s this?” Dion asked as he plucked it off the sheet, then squinted to try and read it in a mix of thin sunlight and the television’s glow.

“Read it,” Angel grumbled, a long sigh escaping him as he nudged the pillow a few times with his head, like he was trying to make the perfect imprint.

Like he hadn’t thought of that.

Keeping his snark to himself, since it truly seemed like Angel was finally about to crash after the night he’d had, Dion fumbled around to find his cellphone, unable to recall where he’d shoved it for a moment, before he nudged it with the edge of his hand.

Oh yeah, beneath his pillow.

In the flashlight’s glow, he could clearly read the single word scrawled there: Raincheck. Snickering, Dion turned off the light and placed the phone and the raincheck he fully intended to cash in, back beneath the pillow.

Yup, pure joy, that was Angel.

A sleepy voice mumbled, “Hey, Dion?”

“Yeah?”

“Don’t forget the lattes.”

“Go to sleep, dammit, I won’t forget you’re fuckin’ lattes, with extra caramel, extra whipped cream, and extra, extra caramel syrup drizzled over top. I know how you like it; I’ve only heard you order it a million times. Might as well be ordering a sundae.”

“Mmmmmm, I’d be all over that,” Angel murmured. “But only if it’s made with Coffee Toffy Crunch ice cream.”

Dion knew he was going to dream of laughter the moment he closed his eyes, thanks to the beautiful gift bestowed upon him by Angel.

The Angel of Joy.

Wicked Wednesday: It'll only take one night...

Twisted Chassis can be Preordered Here!

Trying his hand at legitimate business ownership hasn’t always gone the way Maddox planned. The ex-motorcycle club enforcer experienced his share of ups and downs before finally achieving success. Now he’s opening a specialty grocery store and outdoor market in the small town of Foggy Basin, and he’s itching to get back to the part enjoys most: crafting the recipes for the newest products that will grace their shelves.

Unfortunately, Maddox's first few days in Foggy Basin haven't been the best. His motorcycle was involved in a hit and run, and the damage was extensive. The mechanic at the local shop isn’t the friendliest and yet he's found himself engaging more and more with Haven as he works on restoring the ‘67 Harley Electra Glide back to its previously pristine condition.
In between homemade Chinese food and Hoagies, Maddox begins to glimpse a side of Haven the younger man didn’t know he had, but the jury is still out on whether Haven will trust him enough to let him past the walls he’s erected to keep himself safe.

Featuring a gruff but nurturing Daddy, a hesitant little, supportive sibling, some judgy townsfolk, a German Sheppard who doubles as a lapdog, an arrogant ally cat who sits everywhere but on laps and a stunning secret reveal that will impact the siblings in ways they never imagined.

Welcome to Foggy Basin. Just passing through? No problem. Here to stay, well, better find your place. Sit back, relax and get to know the townsfolk. They love hard and play even harder. Each book is a standalone but why not stay and get to know us and read them all.

“She’s a lot of bike,” Haven admitted. “I’ve learned a lot about the model through studying the schematics and reading through the repair manual.”

“That’s just about the only reading that has ever held my attention,” Maddox admitted. “That and a good CBD cookbook.”

“Hey um, how do those Aromatherapy critters work?”

“You just pop them in the microwave for about forty-five seconds to a moment, curl up with it, then breathe in the scent and let it’s work its magic.”

“How much for one?” Haven asked. “I’d like to pick one up once you’re open.”

“Why wait until then when we can get you one to take home tonight?” Maddox asked. “I’m not guaranteeing it will help but the reviews are more favorable than not.”

“I’m willing to try anything at this point.”

“Shocked you don’t just roll a couple fat ones at the end of the day and spark up.”

“I do, every night, it mellows me out, but not enough to get a full night’s sleep,” Haven admitted. “Maybe a combination of the two is what I need to get over the insomnia.”

“Or maybe you need to spend the night with someone who knows what you’re going through and might be able to help you relax and maybe even exhaust yourself that your mind is finally willing to shut down and allow you to get the rest you clearly need. Those dark circles under your eyes weren’t there the day I brought my bike into the shop.”

“Yeah, the whole not sleeping thing has gotten worse instead of better. Was starting to think that maybe I should have taken you up on that drink when you offered it. Maybe getting a bit of alcohol involved would help my situation.”

“No, I’m glad you turned it down. You don’t need to start heaping chemicals on top of chemicals, even the naturally occurring ones. That’s the kind of shit that leads to addiction and people needing to up their level of intake just to get the desired result.”

“True.”

“I’d be more than happy to lend a hand with exhausted oblivion if you think you’d be up for it.”

“And exactly what are we talking if not chemicals.”

“My hands on your body, your knees gripping my hips, your head thrown back in ecstasy as you ride me until you’re ready to pass out,” Maddox blurted, voice going low, rough and full of wicked promises.

The way Haven licked his upper lip, eyes narrowing, body quivering enough that it was impossible to miss, were all signs that he was interested, but Maddox saw the moment his eyes took on a cautious expression and his whole demeaner changed.

“Can I umm…get a raincheck?” Haven asked, that adorable blush creeping across his cheeks again. “I think I wanna get to know you better before we fuck.”

“I guarantee you that fucking is the last thing on my mind,” Maddox said. “I want to make you feel good and I want it to be more than a one time thing, so you take all the time you need and be sure before you take me up on it, ‘cause I guarantee that once you’ve been in my bed, you won’t have any interest in letting anyone else put their hands on you.”

Those words were uttered with a growled promise that sent another shiver through Haven and left Maddox hoping that the man would give in to him sooner rather than later, because now that he’d put the idea out there, he knew he’d never be able to get it out of his head.

Twisted Tuesday: Who the hell is Jeremy Green?

Trying his hand at legitimate business ownership hasn’t always gone the way Maddox planned. The ex-motorcycle club enforcer experienced his share of ups and downs before finally achieving success. Now he’s opening a specialty grocery store and outdoor market in the small town of Foggy Basin, and he’s itching to get back to the part enjoys most: crafting the recipes for the newest products that will grace their shelves.

Unfortunately, Maddox's first few days in Foggy Basin haven't been the best. His motorcycle was involved in a hit and run, and the damage was extensive. “You’ve been in?”

“I have.”

“For how long?”

“Which time?”

“Oh…uhhh…ummm….”

“Hey, that life is behind me now the way I’m hoping yours is too,” Maddox said. “All in all I spent eight and a half years on the inside, most of those stints for brawling, property damage, threatening bodily harm and one time riding my motorcycle through the plate glass window of a bar after the bartender refused to serve me. Clocking him with one of his own barstools didn’t help my cause, nor did smashing up damn near every bottle but the tequila I drove off with. They tacked a DUI on to that one and revoked the probation I was already on.”

“Holy shit.”

“Yeah, not my finest moment, but I like to think I’ve matured since my outlaw days.”

“You weren’t driving the Electra Glide, were you?” Haven asked, leaving Maddox stunned that the bike had been the question Haven had chosen to focus on.

“Oh hell no. It was my road bike, an old sportster I saw most of the state from the back of.”

“What happened to it?”

“Sold it to one of my ex-club brothers when I decided that life was no longer for me,” Maddox admitted. “Hated to let it go, but it gave me a bit of startup money to get my first store up off the ground.”

“I’ve always wanted to go for a ride on the back of one.”

“Get my baby back running right for me and I’ll take you out for some wind terepy.”

“What’s that?”

“You’ll see,” Maddox said. “It’s not something that can be described. You have to feel it and experience the peace that comes when everything else is drowned out but the roar of the engine and the winding road stretched out in front of you.”

“You should take her up the northern highway. Lots of hills and windy places up there.”

“I’d intended to before that bastard plowed into her.”

“Any word yet on who was driving?”

“They still don’t know exactly what hit baby, or that Lawson lady and her kid.”

“She was my middle school social studies teacher,” Haven said. “She always made the subject fun and showed a bunch of movies to help us better understand the period we were reading about, instead of just expecting us to catch on from the textbook. I really hope she and her daughter pull through.”

“So do I. it’s bullshit that no one got a clear look at the vehicle,” Maddox said. “I’ve heard it described as everything from a blue pickup truck to a black 4Runner. One guy claimed it was a red Hummer but I doubt that was the case with how fast it was going and the amount of torque it pulled going around the corner.”

“You’d be surprised. Some of those Hummers corner tighter than you’d expect them too, though I doubt they’d be able to hit your bike and miss the deli if they’d popped it up on the curb the way Jeremy Green claimed they did.”

“That’s the first I’ve heard about someone seeing anything like that.”

“’Cause Jeremy hates the cops and took off the moment he heard the siren headed that way,” Haven said. “The only reason he mentioned it to me was because I dropped in on his old man to ask if he knew any places I might be able to find authentic parts that I hadn’t thought of yet. He knows a guy he’s going to reach out to but he said not to hold my breath, that your machine was one of the rare ones.”

“One of many reasons why I love her.”

“She’s a lot of bike,” Haven admitted. “I’ve learned a lot about the model through studying the schematics and reading through the repair manual.”

“That’s just about the only reading that has ever held my attention,” Maddox admitted. “That and a good CBD cookbook.”
