A licensed teacher, Kale struggled to abide by his former packs’ strict adherence to social class status, especially when it came to the education of the packs’ pups. He never believed that learning should be restricted and sought to give all his students an equal education, despite how many times he was reprimanded for not following the school’s curriculum. When they couldn’t control him, his old pack sought to be rid of him and his progressive way of thinking, even if that meant betraying him in the process. Their loss has become Comet Lake’s gain, as his new pack is beyond excited to have another educator in their midst, especially one who cares more about the pups’ futures than any fur he might ruffle. Now he’s helping to create a new classroom where those who struggle with focus and sensitivity issues will have a chance to thrive without being overwhelmed. As a bonus, it’s his mates who have been tasked with bringing that new room to life, and he cannot wait to see the results of their collaboration.
If they can set aside their feuding ways to work together and embrace the bonds of brotherhood that they once shared, it just might bring them one step closer to becoming the bonded triad the fates intended for them to be. Unfortunately for the trio, the struggles they’ve left behind haven’t finished wreaking havoc on their lives. If they are to have any hope of a future, they must first shed the lies of the past and reveal the truths they’ve long kept hidden.

Crawling
back into bed proved more difficult than he’d expected after he discovered that
Baz not only preferred to sleep on his belly but sprawled like a starfish to
boot. His head was pressed against Charlie’s side, his arm was draped over a
pillow, and the moment Kale moved his leg, he grumbled and wiggled around until
Charlie growled and smacked him on the ass. That put an end to that, but now
Kale was staring into droopy blue eyes that were struggling to focus on him.
“Shhhhhhh,”
Kale hissed, pressing a finger to his lips. “Don’t wake him, just shift him a
little so there’s room for me. At least now I know what will happen when I get
up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. I might need to invest in a
body pillow, just so I have something handy to slip into my spot when I need to
go.”
His mate’s chuckle was low and a little rough, but he did as Kale requested and maneuvered Baz enough that Kale was able to slide in beside Baz and drape an arm across his lower back, pinning Baz to the bed between him and Charley. Now that ought to keep him from sprawling limbs all over the place, Kale thought as he got settled.
Moments
later, when an elbow dealt him a glancing blow across the ear, he heard Charlie
chuckle and try to capture Baz’s arm, only to have their mate grumble again.
“Whazz
all the movin’ about!” Baz growled, sounding more asleep than awake.
Kale
could have thrown up his hands at that point.
“You
being a bed hog,” Kale muttered, nudging him. “Now scoot.”
“And
here I thought a California King would be big enough for three,” Charlie said.
“Should have known I’d have to design something special to keep my mates
contained.”
“Naa,
just a few restraint posts for our resident starfish,” Kale said as they were
finally able to situate themselves with him and Charlie each draping an arm across
Baz to pin him in place.
“Depending
on how many posts we set up, we could arrange him in some pretty interesting
positions,” Charley mused. “The possibilities are limitless when you really
think about it.”
“Which
I fully plan to do,” Kale replied. “After I get some sleep.”
“I
swear, if I wake up hog-tied,” Baz grumbled, only for Kale to pinch his ass.
“You
will love every minute of it,” Kale firmly informed him, finding it damned
interesting that his growly, used to being in command mate shuddered at the
tone of his voice.
“Oh,
believe me, you keep talking like that and I’ll more than love it, I’ll worship
you for it,” Baz groaned.
“Really,
and what all will this bit of worship entail?” Kale asked. “That talented mouth
of yours or some other part of your anatomy?”
“Whatever
parts and pieces you want.”
“Now
that’s the kind of answer that will get you thoroughly debauched,” Kale
growled.
“Promise?”
“You’re
damn right I do.”
“Is
anyone else feeling far less sleepy?” Charlie growled, grinning at Kale over
Baz’s back as Kale danced his fingertips along Baz’s hip.
“Funny
how this burst of energy just hit me all of a sudden,” Kale admitted. “I don’t
even remember being tired.”
“Neither
do I,” Charlie said. “Of course, if our mate would still like to go back to
sleep, I suppose we’ll have to let him.”
With
a wicked glint in his eye, Charlie winked and stopped touching Baz, prompting
Kale to do the same. It was only when Kale stopped touching him that Baz let
out a long, whimpering whine and shifted his hips, rutting lightly against the
bed until Kale pinched his ass again.
“If
you’ve got something that needs taking care of, then you’d better roll over and
show it to me,” Kale said, loving the way Baz immediately moved to comply.
His
mate was built beautifully, all hard muscle and sinew with a long, thick cock
that proudly stood out from a nest of red-blond curls. Not only did he want a
taste of it, but he wanted to ride it and see Baz’s eyes alight with pleasure
as he did. As he slid down on the bed, Baz caressed his face, light, gentle
touches that were by no means intended to hurry him towards his intended
target. Baz chuckled low and flicked his tongue out to lick one of Kale’s
fingers before sucking it in his mouth.
“You’re
a tease, you know that?” Kale said as Baz swirled his finger around it.
“Oh,
he knows, which is why he’s doing it,” Charlie said with a low, rough chuckle.
Where
Kale’s words and light touches kept promoting crops of goosebumps to break out
along Baz’s skin, he seemed to freeze a little each time Charlie said anything.
The problem, as Kale saw it, was that while Baz eagerly responded to Kale’s
flirting with easy banter of his own, he seemed hesitant to reply in the same
manner with Charlie, making it difficult for Kale to know if he truly welcomed
Charlie’s participation or if he was just going with the flow.
Baz
nipped his finger, drawing Kale back to the moment and the way his mate traced
the contours of Kale’s face with his fingertips.
“Someone’s
getting bitey,” Kale murmured.
“You haven’t seen bitey until I’ve had a chance to mark up every inch of your pristine skin.”
